EMG-SES (High Impedance Passive Single Coil Pickup)

Available in black only, these full size humbucking pickups are passive, ceramic magnet units, designed for neck and bridge position placement. They feature individually adjustable polepieces for balanced and accurate string response.

EMG-SEHG (High Impedance Passive Humbucker Pickup)

The SEHG is designed for tone. Both power and cut-through tone are available. The SEHG is fully shielded and potted to give you quiet performance and the output of a full-blown humbucker. The Select Pickup line designed by EMG has been developed to utilize the latest pickup technologies in winding, shielding, potting, and electro-magnetics.

EMG-EXB (Bass Expander)

The EXB is an unconventional equalization control for bass that increases the low and high frequency regions while reducing the midrange simultaneously to provide the gain and punch that bass players want. Slap players will especially appreciate its superior clarity and percussive quality. Similar in design and construction to the EXG, this unit is compact and will fit into most EMG equipped instrument control compartments without any modification. Instruction and wiring diagrams are included for easy installation.

EMG-AB (After Burner - Variable Gain Boost Control) P

The AB (Afterburner) is a push/pull booster with up to 20dB of preset variable gain, perfect for having fun with clean overdrive and distortion. It works with both active and passive pickups, uses rail-to-rail technology, and is easy to install. If you're a lead player, the Afterburner is for you.

The EMG-AB Variable Gain Booster will boost the signal of any pickup up to +20dB.
Will work with active or passive pickups.
Converts a guitar equipped with passive pickups (high impedance) to a low impedance output. Variable pre/setable gain: With the push/pull pot in the "down" position there is no boost in effect. In the "up" position the signal is boosted with the amount of gain set by the rotation of the pot.
Allows use of a longer cable.
Improves high frequency response.

Whilst the original spec for Humbucker bobbins was black, a shortage of these items on the production line in the 1950’s resulted in bobbins being sourced in "virgin" material (ivory coloured plastic), hence when guitarists started to remove their brass covers, they discovered that some guitars contained what have become known as "Zebra pickups". Some people believe these are the best sounding humbuckers ever. I just think they look great, and by using the same windings as our WVC pickup, they are as authentic sounding as anything currently available.
